How we collect, use, and protect your data across all Rosie products
At Rosie Home Tech, your home is your most private space — and our AI is a guest in it. This policy explains exactly what data Rosie collects, how it's used to improve your experience, and the rights you hold over that information at all times.
Rosie collects data necessary to deliver intelligent home assistance. Data collection varies by model — more advanced models enable more personalization, which requires more contextual data.
Voice commands and wake-word triggers · Task completion logs · App usage patterns · Wi-Fi network metadata · Device firmware and software version data
Grocery purchase history and shopping list data (Instacart integration) · Home security event logs · Household occupancy patterns
Household schedule and calendar data · K–12 tutoring session content, progress metrics, and individual learning profiles · Preference learning data across all household members
Rosie uses collected data for three primary purposes: delivering personalized assistance, improving AI model performance, and maintaining platform security. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
Rosie Home Tech does not sell your personal data to third parties. Period. Our revenue model is product-based, not data-based.
Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be used internally to improve Rosie's AI responses and task accuracy. All household identifiers are removed before any use in model training.
All Rosie household data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Data is stored on SOC 2 Type II certified, U.S.-based cloud infrastructure.
Voice command audio is processed on-device by default. Audio is only transmitted to the cloud when a task requires external data lookup. Cloud processing can be disabled entirely in your privacy settings.
Multi-factor authentication for all account access · Automated anomaly detection · Annual third-party security audits · Data breach notification within 72 hours of confirmed discovery
Rosie integrates with select third-party platforms to deliver Pro and Elite features. All integrations are opt-in and governed by their own privacy policies in addition to ours.
When grocery management is enabled, Rosie shares shopping list requests with Instacart to fulfill orders. Household behavioral data, occupancy patterns, and voice recordings are never shared with Instacart.
Security event logs may be shared with your connected home security provider when integration is enabled. You control which events trigger data sharing within the Rosie app settings.
Rosie Home Tech will only share data with law enforcement in response to a valid legal process. Affected users will be notified whenever legally permitted to do so.
Rosie Elite's K–12 Adaptive Tutoring feature collects individual learning profiles for minor children. This data is subject to additional protections under COPPA and is never used for general AI model training.
Child profiles are created and managed exclusively by the verified adult account holder. Children's tutoring session data is stored separately from household behavioral data and is accessible only to the account holder.
Rosie Home Tech does not share children's learning data with any third party. Child profiles may be deleted at any time from the Rosie app.
